Our German
Shepherds at Kaykohl Land
After years of carefully
selecting only the BEST that Europe has to offer, we
are primarily focusing on OUR dogs and breeding
program (from 100% European imported stock).
We have a select line that has taken more than a
decade to develop. while we are breeding
mainly KAYKOHL LAND German Shepherds, we still
maintain genetic diversity and heartiness by
occasionally adding a new imported line to our
program.

Our German Shepherd Stud Dogs
There is nothing like owning
a MALE German Shepherd Dog. A male German
Shepherd should be confident, bold, brave, self
assured, and have a fire and spark in his eye.
He should be loyal, strong, yet sensitive, and aware
of his master's needs. He should be willing
and 100% trustworthy in any situation. He
should give his life to his work and his heart to
his family. We are very fortunate to own, and
to have owned such select males that encompass all
of the qualities listed above in such spectacular
packages. |

"Esteban" is my personal dog, normally accompanying
me on my travels and often found at my side. He is a
large, masculine, soulful, and willing best friend and
protector. Strong and intimidating if needed, but silly
and playful with puppies and children. Just a wonderful
and balanced example of the breed. More than HALF of the
dogs in the first 3 generations are VA rated!

"Quizno" is a strong,
athletic, and robust male. He has very good natural
protection instincts and is full of fire and spark. Never
is there a moment when he isn't up for a game of fetch or tug.
I know when my children have Quiz by their sides that they are
safe. Quizno comes from an excellent genetic foundation
with his dam being our own VA1-Hett, now retired from our
breeding program.

"Valium" is our next up and
coming homebred Kaykohl Land boy. He has the temperament, structure,
personality, willingness, and spirit that I simply LOVE in the
breed. He goes back to many of our favorite lines from the
past several decades and represents them well. Val is
currently in training for his Schutzhund titles and breed
survey. He was also the 2010 Vice Canadian Young Dog
Sieger.

Our German Shepherd Females
A German Shepherd breeding program is only as good
as their females. You can pick the BEST male in the world for stud, but if the
mother is mediocre, the puppies will be as well. Puppies receive 50% of their
genes from their sire and 50% from their dam, however, their dam is who they
will spend the first very important weeks of their lives with. It is essential
for the well being of a litter to have a sound, confident, and caring dam to
pass proper temperament to her offspring. A mother who is nervous, upset, or
aggressive will show those traits to her puppies at a very impressionable stage
in life. Our breeding program uses high quality German Shepherd females who are
sound, loving, and firm yet fair mothers to ensure the soundness of the future
of the breed. |

"Valeska" is a littermate
to Valium, and equally as nice and promising. She is
expressive, head turning, and has endless potential. We
are looking forward to our goals and plans with her, showing her
more, and continuing our future generations with her.
Valeska showed well at the 2010 Canadian Sieger show receiving
her SG rating.

"Xilly" is a beautiful,
feminine, and magnificent female German shepherd.
She is very soulful and kind hearted, but if a
stranger comes onto the porch she is the first to
let us know. She is a fantastic girl and
daughter of our own V1-Holley von Kaykohl Land and
V1-Gilli.

"Xanie" is a stunning female
with the most beautiful movement and presence in the
show ring. She is always ready for a game of
fetch or tug and is just a great overall example of
the breed. She is also the daughter of our own
V1-Holley von Kaykohl Land.

"Roxi" is a stunning,
confident, and impressive V rated female. She
goes back to our 2x VA1-Siegerin Hetti and is the
daughter of VA2-Indo. we are excited to
continue our future generations with her.

"Penny" is a large, strong,
and intense female. While she has excellent drives and
working abilities, she is balanced enough to be a wonderful
family member as well. She is daughter of VA-Hombre, and
is V1 rated herself.

"Nina" is a FUN girl,
always looking for a ball or toy to play with. She is
simply wonderful, and excellent mother, outstanding protector,
and a complete package. She is a VA-Quenn daughter and
VA-Ando granddaughter.
