Izack von Kaykohl Land
Hi
Farrah! Just dropping a note to update you on Zoni and Izack.
They are both "mommy's babies" and doing great. They are best of
friends (with an occasional "dispute"), and are my best friends too.
As you know, I have had Labs for years (and currently own two), and love
the breed. However, Zoni and Izack have taught me to absolutely LOVE
the German Shepherd!! I have learned to adapt to the differences in
the two breed's characteristics and really love the versatility of the
GSD.... they love to be hugged, cuddled, kissed, and give kisses,
and yet, they are loyal, intelligent, protective, and willing to do
anything to please me. I hope you received and enjoyed the photos of
them I had sent a while back.... I'll be sure to send updated
pictures on a regular basis :) I hope you and your family had a nice
Thanksgiving and have a very blessed Christmas! Take care and MERRY
CHRISTMAS from our family to yours!

Home of Xenia von Kaykohl
Land Hello Farrah, Xenia is doing
real good. Growing well. She's a real good traveler spent 3
weeks in hunting camp last fall and really liked it. Joe takes her
to the gun club every Sunday while he's shooting. She's real social.
she thinks everybody wants to pet and play with her. she did learn (I
hope) that she shouldn't try to play with those black and white "cats"
that run around here, because then she gets a bath and put in the
kennel. I'll send you a picture of her as son as I
can.

Just a update on "Blaze" (Yukon). As you can see he is growing
like a weed. Anyone that comes in contact with him just loves
him. He loves his family and seems to be very protective of us
already, he is such a smart pup and always has to have the last
word. He is potty trained and already knows his hand commands for
sit, down, come, stay, and the boys have also taught him how to
shake. He is very smart and is learning more everyday. We are
getting ready for obdience school sometime next month, I know he will be
the star pupil. He has been to the vet twice now and they can't seem
to give him enough lovin, he says that he is going to be a big dog.
We will keep in touch, ta ta for now.

Yepa von
Kaykohl Land We have re-named Yeppa,
Lehren. It means "to teach" in German. She's a great dog, full
of spirit and energy. Her herding instincts are limited to the
squirrels, butterflies and leaves that blow by, but these seem to keep her
amused well enough. She is especially enjoying the cooler
weather...I believe she is reminiscing. The boys love her and they keep
each other busy much of the time. I have attached our family picture
that was in our Christmas card this year. I often comment how much
she looks like her mother. I think you'll agree.
Glad to hear her siblings are doing well. If we ever get so far
north we should plan a reunion. Thank you for breeding such a
wonderful animal.

Home of SG1-Unique von Kaykohl Land,
CGC Hi Farrah, Kila is a great little
dog and I wouldn't trade her for anything.....especially an aggressive dog
that I would not trust around kids. I saw the parents of Kila and
was fascinated with them. I knew I made the right choice when I saw
them and felt comfortable with your expertise. I am real partial to
the type of dog you produce. Kila loves to play tug. She
usually does not chase and retrieve a toy for me because she wants my
husbands' dog to retrieve it so she can take it from him. I will
have to separate them in the future so she will not be distracted from her
play. We started Kila on tracking today. She did pretty well
considering my tracks were not very great. I can't see her having a
problem with this phase if I get the right instruction. If I can get
Kila titled in Schutzhund then I will keep going. I will take her as
far as I can. She is such a little buddy for me. Thank you
again!

Land Hi Farrah! Two photos of Uma taken today - isn't she
gorgeous! Uma is everything we desired in a dog - she's sweet, has a
beautiful structure, and is oh so intelligent . She has learned
'sit, stay, kiss (instead of bite) and cats are friends'. She also
is socialized with many different dogs and people of all ages, and
accompanies Elisabeth downtown for lunch and strolling. Her favorite
play partner is 'Precious" - a neighbor's Sheltie. At work, where
Elisabeth has permission to take her, she is the STAR! Thank
you so much for Uma! Elisabeth is looking forward to agility
training after obedience is accomplished.

Home of Yoker von Kaykohl
Land Hi Farrah,
(Yoker) aka Grizz is doing well. He is exactly
what we wanted. He truly is the best
looking German Shepard that I ever seen. When Grizz was a puppy,
he was so darn cute with his big paws, fluffy hair and droopy
ears. Kevin was a little worried. He kept saying "What is this
goofy puppy going to look like? What did Farrah send
us?" Whenever we take him out for a walk somebody always asks
about him and says what a good looking dog he is. His vet loves Grizz's
personality and disposition. Even though Grizz is now very big and strong
he is still all puppy inside. He loves to chew. His bones are
kept in a kitchen cabinet which he knows how to open and get a
bone out when he wants one. He also likes to chew on matchbox
cars and plastic army men which my kids are not that happy about.
But, it gets them to pick up there toys. The kids love taking a walk
and playing catch with him. We have taken Grizz for some
training he caught on quickly. This spring we will take him for more
intermediate classes.

Home of
Utah von Kaykohl Land, CGC Hi, Farrah. I just wanted to let
you know that Utah (Mia) is doing wonderful! She is hilarious! She is
always running and bouncing around, getting into things, and trying
to chew on anything and everything she can. We have given her several toys
to dive into, but she always seems to find something else. When
anyone tries to pet her, of course she thinks you want to play and
grabs at your hand! She chases the cats around and thinks our little
kitten is a chew toy that moves! Mia has grown quite a bit since we
received her. She is starting to get that spindly, leg look. I
say she is starting to look like a cross between a Giraffe and a kangaroo!
She is so much fun. I am really looking forward to what the future holds
for her.

Land Ranger (Zant) is almost 1 1/2
years old. We love him so much! He's a terrific dog, sweet,
loving, intelligent. I guess about any dog can become a good
companion but I'm amazed at how you pegged his temperament right on
because he is an exceptional companion. Ranger loves the water
even more this summer than he did last summer. Ball chasing is one
of his favorite activities on land and in water, but he loves the water so
much sometimes he just swims for pleasure. And, he doesn't mind
baths anymore; he leaps into the tub without any coaching and sits there
while I wash him. Hope you're having a great
summer!

Home of Yankee von Kaykohl
Land Sorry it
took so long to get back to you. Yankee (Gandalf ) arrived on time and
without a hitch. We took him out of the crate right there and then to meet
him and let him stretch a little. In the first minute he attracted no less
than 20 people half were ticket agents who couldn’t resist. He just looked
around at all the smiling faces and yawned a couple of times, he had no problems with the trip at all.
He is adjusting very well at home and has already built his own little
home under our Coffee table where he has taken over my bath robe and is
using it as a mattress, then he strategically
placed pillows around the perimeter and loves to pop out and follow us
around. His structure and temperament are amazing and we couldn’t be
happier with him. At first our 2 yr old Golden (Shadow) didn’t
know what to make of this little creature, who came out of nowhere and
started chasing him around and stealing his chew toys, I’m sure he was
wondering how does this thing shut off !!!!, however, they quickly became
good friends and are very comfortable with each other. I have taken
some photos and will forward then to you soon. Thanks again Farrah for this awesome puppy, the kids and I are
having a ball. Take good care and I’ll talk to you soon.

Land Uppity (we call her Zoey) is doing
GREAT!! The name Zoey means lively and spirit-filled, and it fits
her to a T. Not only that, but she is SO intelligent. She
knows my schedule...when it times to leave...when I come home...when it's
time to go to bed...etc. Her FAVORITE game is Frisbee.
She's actually becoming quite good at it - catching it in the air. I
was talking to her vet, and he mentioned that there is a Frisbee contest
that comes around every summer, and I'm thinking about entering her in it
if we can get enough practice in. I don't have a digital camera, so
I couldn't attach any pictures on to this email, but I'll try to borrow my
friend's so you can see just how beautiful she is.

quite well. She finished puppy training and is now in obedience training.
She is now part of the family. She is very receptive to

behavior but her attitude (temperament) and receptiveness has made it an
enjoyable experience. She listens and enjoys the company of my
daughter. If she could talk I could get my daughter to eat her

Home of Ulla von Kaykohl Land
Dear Farrah, she arrived late but in one piece. I was anxious that she
would not potty for us until the next morning after breakfast, and then
she went on our chosen spot with no problem. What a relief! (no pun
intended). We have had lots of snow, too, which we think she
brought with her. I guess she missed Montana. :) We have named her Kula
Montana. It is a coincidence or a sign of fate that I chose the name
Kula, similar to Ulla. She knows her name and comes and follows very
well. We are in love with her. She is so alert, happy and
adventurous. Very much aware she has teeth but getting used to our
leash lessons and seeing how much of our property she can explore each
outing. She loves going to the cats' toy box to choose her new favorite
toy. They are all out on the floor at this writing. Thank you for
her. The timing was perfect. We are so glad she is a part of our family.

Land
Just a not to
let you know how pleased we are with Xendie. She is such a lovable
dog and fitting in well with the other dogs and now horse, but the
cat we are working on. She is doing well with the socialization
and house breaking and our trainer has us for the next two weeks
doing what he calls pack training (letting her now her place in the
house hold and how to walk on a leash). She only seems to need to
be shown just once and then she has it until a major distraction
but get right back on track . She is magnificent at least in my
eyes, but the trainer did say he has not seen a Shepherd of her
quality around here in a long time and he is sooooooooo looking
forward to working with her (he has actually told a friend of mine
that her standard poodle was of terrible breeding ) so i know he is
not just saying it. He also in his younger day, did train his
own Shepherds in Schutzhund style, but seems to make more money
correcting rich peoples unruly dogs behavior problems, so he is
looking forward to working with her. He did also said that she has
the natural tracking in her she puts her nose to the ground all
around the fence as soon a you let her out. I will send pics as
soon a I develop them. Thanks Farrah for your dedication to your
breeding of shepherds.

wanted to send you a few new pictures of Ozzy we took over the weekend.
He is doing AWESOME and is just "one of the boys" now. He is
eating well and growing like a weed. We are so impressed with his
intelligence already - on command he will sit, lay down, go to his
crate, and we are working on stay. Just this week, we have no
"accidents" in the house so I'd say he is pretty much housetrained at
this point. He is so smart and we love him a lot! Again, we
are so pleased with Ozzy and hope you enjoy the pictures. We look
forward to hearing from you soon!

behaving well when we meet other dogs, people, or bicycles on the
trails. He loves to swim and he has also learned to ride next to the
bicycle.

Hey.. I just wanted to let you know that Vette is doing great.
Everyone loves her and says how beautiful and "well mannered"
she is. The vet says that her temperament is just perfect - and
she absolutely LOVES her --- She says she is perfectly balanced,
confident, and so smart. She is really not afraid of anything
and adapts to new situations very well.... does not bark at
other dogs or people (rarely barks at all - just play puppy
"yips" occasionally.) She just studies things/ people/ animals
confidently and quietly. She is also pretty obedient but does
sometimes have a stubborn side. (We have discovered that she is
extremely treat motivated!) She has done very well at "working"
for food, being let out of her crate in the morning, coming into
the house, etc. by sitting quietly and calmly when asked - or
sometimes without being asked!). She is a great girl! We
are starting her in puppy obedience next week and will go from
there..... thanks again!!!

Voss von Kaykohl Land (V-Oneska & V1-Nemo son)
Hi Farrah, Just wanted to let you know that Blitzen (Voss)
is doing well and we couldn't love him any more. He is about
75 pounds now at nearly 10 months and is extremely smart,
strong, energetic and also very mischievous! He is happiest
when he has "stolen" something he is not supposed to have or
when he jumps on our bed and claims it as is own. We bring
him to the park nearly every day so he can run and run and
run.......... A 45 minute walk, just doesn't do it for him.
Mary and I wish we had half his energy. We are thankful
that you socialized him so well as a small pup, as he loves
people and is good with other dogs, even small ones. We were
bringing him to doggy day care and he loved it. We loved it
as well, because he came home exhausted. However, they
kicked us out at 6 months because he was not neutered. We
hope he can go back at some time in the future. Hope all is
well in Montana. We are having some very cold weather here
in Connecticut. Blitzen loves the snow. Maybe at some point
after Blitzen is fully trained we can inquire about a female
playmate! Have attached a few pictures for you to look at.
