German Shepherd Puppy Breeder, Kaykohl LandHome of Bretta von Kaykohl Land

I thought perhaps you might like to hear about Bretta as it has been quite some time.  She just celebrated her 4th birthday last week end and it is hard to believe she's been with me that long.  We made a trip to the local doggy bakery for some special birthday treats.  She continues to be my constant companion.  We hike and travel everywhere together and I wouldn't have it any other way.   Her love of the snow and water is unbelievable which is great because I love to be on the mountain or in the river.  Bretta collects the biggest tree limbs she can carry and I have to be careful that she doesn't clip my legs out from under me as she isn't a good judge of how much distance to allow in passing.
I have included some fun pictures that I thought you might enjoy.  Two are with my husband who is one of her greatest fans.  They enjoy watching TV together in the evening as you can see.  The 2 kids were quite afraid of dogs until they met Bretta and as you can see they are now quite a threesome.   I hope all is well with you.

Here is a photo of Lolli-Pup taken yesterday.  We were having snuggle time.  She loves to rest her head on my lap and be petted regularly.  She has striking eyes don't you think?  All is well and she is a very good girl. Another two years down the road I will be looking for another pup.  Have a wonderful summer!

The "kids" are getting along better.  It is quite obvious that Qwake LOVES her.  He has gotten where he is regularly smacking her in the face with a toy trying to get her to take the other end of it to play with him.   I'm not sure it's to play tug as much as it's to drag her around with it.  He is bigger and stronger than she is and wants her to know it.  (Just another way to proclaim his dominance over her)  It is so much fun to watch them playing together.   Qwake is so handsome and masculine and Racie has such feminine little features.   His ears and paws are much bigger than hers are.  She is such a sweetie.   She just melts into you when you pick her up.  She isn't as mouthy as Qwake.   It's nice to get such sweet little girl kisses instead of little monster boy nibbles!  We aren't having to fend off such "mouthiness" on us since Racie got here.  Poor Racie, though!  She constantly has some kind of dog slobber on her somewhere.  Qwake has to be near her all of the time whether she likes it or not.   Sometimes she likes it and sometimes she doesn't which is what determines if they are playing or snarling.  I hope you like the pictures!

Dr. George Rudowski (Gryph's vet) asked me to tell you that not only does he think you are breeding/importing beautiful, sound dogs, but that you are also "doing everything right in terms of temperament selection".
Farrah, It is very likely that Gryphon saved me from serious injury if not actually saved my life early this morning.  I had shampooed the carpet and it was still damp in spots so I gated Gryphon into the kitchen when I went to bed. He respects the gates and does not try to jump them.  I woke up about 3:30 with Gryphon hitting the bed roaring and snarling and lunging at the window. I heard a loud scraping and thump in the walkway between my house and my neighbor's house. I threw the window open and saw someone running through my neighbor's yard.  I called 911 and they sent a car out with a patrolman and a detective. They found a small folding stepladder, a bolt cutters, and a glass cutter in the dirt under my window along with a partial foot print. They called for an evidence technician who was able to get several good prints from the window frame and the tools.  The prints match those of a man with a long rap sheet for home invasions. He was involved in 2 in my neighborhood, one of which left an elderly woman beaten nearly to death. I truly believe Gryphon saved me early this morning.  What was interesting is that as distraught as Gryphon was, he was polite with the two police officers who came in to do a report. They are pretty sure they will pick this scumbag up within the next few days. They assure me that he is very unlikely to come back "with that dog here".  Gryph seems to be OK other than being very clingy and running the fence lines when outside. He really does not want me out of direct sight. The person ran down the pathway in my neighbor's yard which runs right along my fence line. Gryphon keeps bristling up and running down that fence line. It is very obvious that he can still smell something there.  I don't believe in dogs in my bed. Gryphon spent the rest of this AM in my bed waking and growling at the slightest sound.  I'm quite glad that he was "disobedient" and jumped the kitchen gate. He had a sirloin end leg of lamb for his dinner tonight and is currently literally sleeping on my feet.  He's a helluva dog, and he's still just a baby. I'm hoping I can get him reassured in the next few weeks. The incident seems to have taken a lot of the "happy-go-lucky" out of him.  Again, thank you so much,

Hi Farrah:  Max (Moser) will be 3 yrs on 9/14. He's been on the BARF diet and went from 103 to 94 lbs. He is an amazing animal. Everywhere I take him people comment on his beauty. His temperament is as amazing as his looks. I have to again commend you on your outstanding breeding program and thank you for this magnificent dog.

German Shepherd Puppy Breeder, Kaykohl Land
Farrah, I just wanted to drop you a line and tell you EXACTLY what I think of the puppy you sent me. I’m not a new comer to dogs, I have titled and shown most working breeds for years in AKC, USA SCHUTZ, SV and many other disciplines. I have learned not to be easily impressed by fancy snap shots on the internet, boastings of "top bloodlines" and terms like, "This dog has a high prey drive and hard temperament."  I have six, yep SIX children. My house is a happy, loud and chaotic zoo most of the time.  Vacuums, yelling, pots crashing, and water fights. Actually the gun shy test holds nothing to the volume and explosive nature of my house. The puppy you sent me is by far the most promising potential I have ever brought into my home and that is saying A LOT...After being on the road in a crate with you for 3 days, he came out of the crate, shook of the dust and proclaimed the house his. He NEVER, not once whined, showed stress or even hesitated about any new stimuli. He walked up to all 4 of my adult bitches and didn’t back down for any reason.  On the same token however, my 1yr old little boy can take a chew bone, ball or anything else out of his mouth and Knievel will respect the baby’s status in the family.  My little guy will sometimes use the puppy as a brace to keep himself from falling, grabbing hide on the way to the floor and the puppy will hold very still until the baby gets his footing again, licks him on the face and trots happily off to find the next kid to toss him the ball. I don’t let my kids torture the dog by any means but when accidents happen, its nice to be assured I have a dog that will not respond in inappropriate aggression.  I took him to Ring Sport 3 days later and then I really was impressed. He was slow and methodical, watching the decoy calmly at my side until the prey was in reach. Then it was a full mouthed, hard bite. He showed no stress to any pressure and was completely comfortable being "puppy caned" over his whole body.  After the decoy released him and gave him his reward, the dog immediately pushed the bite toy HARD against the agitator and said, "lets go again"  Afterwards he sat calmly at my side waiting for his turn again. He has a lovely ON and OFF switch.  The next best thing about him is, you would think being a puppy separated from his litter, that he would be drawn to the other dogs. NOPE! He is completely people focused. If he has to choose between a romp with the dogs or sitting at my feet with a ball, (which he is NUTS for and has a 100% retrieval record so far) He picks me every time.  I take him in stores, the hospital, you name it, he is undaunted by any new thing or experience.  BUT the best thing about this whole deal is, You Farrah, and your kids. I have not yet run into many breeders where its not about money or their reputation, picking apart other breeders and quite frankly being a WEIRDO dog person that non-dog  people go to dog shows just to watch and laugh at! You really care about your dogs and the homes they go to first. Your passion for the breed and the heart to keep it going shows in so many ways......I love the fact you are not kennel blind and are willing to see the faults in your animals and try to make them better, instead of letting your pride and arrogance blind you from continuing to learn. I am blessed I have found you and my new dog is a keeper!! Thank you so MUCH!!!

Home of Liberty von Kaykohl Land

I just wanted to let you know that Liberty is doing wonderful.  The kids liked her name and didn't want to change it.  I call her Libbie though.  Liberty makes us laugh all the time.  She gets along perfect with our other dog, Baby.  Baby thinks she is Liberty's mommy and they snuggle together.  Libbie is doing fantastic with her crate training and doesn't even cry at night.  She in fact welcomes going into it at bedtime.  She seems to have adjusted to her new home just fine and alert, spunky and curious.  She also appears to be a quick learner.  I will be sending photo's soon,  Thanks again,

Hi Farrah, Both Nitrous and Ralli are doing great.  For Nursing Home Week in May, Ralli will be "Rin Tin Tin" with my son as "Rusty".  The theme is Hollywood centre stage and we believe that most of the residents will remember the show.  We will send lots of pics from that day.  They are both favorites at the nursing home, the joy they give to the residents is priceless. Of course the treats the dogs receive give them joy as well!  Ragu was over today for a play-date. They all had a great time acting like silly nuts. They are wonderful animals. Thank you for sharing them with us.

Hello Farrah,  Xenia is doing real good.  Growing well.  She's a real good traveler spent 3 weeks in hunting camp last fall and really liked it.  Joe takes her to the gun club every Sunday while he's shooting.  She's real social. she thinks everybody wants to pet and play with her. she did learn (I hope) that she shouldn't try to play with those black and white "cats" that run around here, because then she gets a bath and put in the kennel.  I'll send you a picture of her as son as I can.

Rev is a wonderful puppy and joy to own. He is enrolled in a puppy obedience class and does extremely well. There is no doubt about his intelligence he is a very bright boy. I was told by the instructor that he does extremely well. Nice of her to tell me but I new he was doing well! I just love him and he is growing like a weed. People make nice comments about him all the time. He went into a coffee shop last week with my friend and her adult Shepherd. He was a perfect little gentleman even though I would not allow him to have a cappuccino. I shall send you a picture or two hopefully next week.

Just a update on "Blaze" (Yukon). As you can see he is growing like a weed. Anyone that comes in contact with him just loves him.  He loves his family and seems to be very protective of us already, he is such a smart pup and always has to have the last word.  He is potty trained and already knows his hand commands for sit, down, come, stay, and the boys have also taught him how to shake.  He is very smart and is learning more everyday.  We are getting ready for obdience school sometime next month, I know he will be the star pupil.  He has been to the vet twice now and they can't seem to give him enough lovin, he says that he is going to be a big dog.  We will keep in touch, ta ta for now.

We have re-named Yeppa, Lehren.  It means "to teach" in German.  She's a great dog, full of spirit and energy.   Her herding instincts are limited to the squirrels, butterflies and leaves that blow by, but these seem to keep her amused well enough.  She is especially enjoying the cooler weather...I believe she is reminiscing. The boys love her and they keep each other busy much of the time.  I have attached our family picture that was in our Christmas card this year.  I often comment how much she looks like her mother.   I think you'll agree.   Glad to hear her siblings are doing well.  If we ever get so far north we should plan a reunion.  Thank you for breeding such a wonderful animal.

German Shepherd Puppy Breeder, Kaykohl LandHome of Belle von Kaykohl Land

Belle is doing great! She is settling down nicely, the puppy demons don't possess her quite so often. The snow today was great fun, of course. She ran and dragged her nose in it most of the day.  This is not to say her puppy days are over, clearly we have a ways to go yet, but all in all, she is doing great. The girls love her dearly and she gets loved about 6 - 10 times each day. Joe is suspicious that Belle is the worst puppy that ever lived :) (he doesn't remember his dog of 10 years, acting like this when she was a puppy) and I think she is wonderful. She respects the horses and has stayed out of trouble with them, since her incident with Smokey back in the Spring. She herds the chickens, periodically. If they wander too far from their pen, she rounds everybody up a gets them back to where chickens belong. She likes an orderly yard. She loves playing ball and fetch, although she isn't keen on dropping anything for you. I am sure that will come. All in all, I'd say we are doing well.

Here is a recent picture of "Griz", he is doing wonderfully.   At his last vet appt, the vet proclaimed him in excellent weight and condition with the heart of an athlete. He was 112 pounds.  I don't know how he got that big.I actually can't see it, but the "OMG he is huge" comments lead me to believe my eyes are deceiving me. This summer he has helped me train for 2 Sprint triathlons and 1 half marathon and a measly 5K.   We are famous on the base for being " that woman that runs with the huge German shepherd and jogging stroller". We are getting ready to move to CA with a stop over in AZ, he may be living with grandma and grandpa for a while.  We are hoping that the desert agrees with his allergies.  My best guess is he is allergic to pine, when ever the pine needles shed or the pine pollen is high, he is a mess. Pictured below he is chilling after a nice round of catch the Frisbee.  He has a delightful temperament and wonderful manners.  He walks my son to school everyday and the kids all run up to pet him.  People always say "good thing he is such a nice dog!".  Griz is always a little worried that he can not follow Dakota into school and looks back at the school every few steps, until we round the corner for home.

Hi Farrah, Kila is a great little dog and I wouldn't trade her for anything.....especially an aggressive dog that I would not trust around kids.  I saw the parents of Kila and was fascinated with them.  I knew I made the right choice when I saw them and felt comfortable with your expertise.  I am real partial to the type of dog you produce.  Kila loves to play tug.  She usually does not chase and retrieve a toy for me because she wants my husbands' dog to retrieve it so she can take it from him.  I will have to separate them in the future so she will not be distracted from her play.  We started Kila on tracking today.  She did pretty well considering my tracks were not very great.  I can't see her having a problem with this phase if I get the right instruction.  If I can get Kila titled in Schutzhund then I will keep going.  I will take her as far as I can.  She is such a little buddy for me.  Thank you again!

Your boy is doing fine - now 40 lbs at 17 weeks, ears up and socialization going very well. We have walked him for miles over the past month, on new trails around Mt Tampalpais, and he has had a chance to meet many people and dogs. He is sometimes aloof with strangers but no longer apprehensive around them and regards any dog as a potential playmate. He seems to have an effortless gait and we have to remember not to walk so far at times because he shows no sign of tiring or lagging no matter what we do. He has been on the boat, to the beach, and all over town.

Lexie's visit went very well - not that I expected anything different.  A couple of the techs were GSD fans and thought everything about her was "very nice".  Even the vet commented on her table sweeper of a tail.  They were surprised at how calm and friendly she was the whole time she was there.  I told them she came from a great breeder.

On a humorous note, she's taken to diving (nose and both front paws) into her water bowl.   Needless to say,  it's similar to a cannonball depth charge.  Scott thought the bowl must be too big, so he replaced it with a smaller one which she promptly took a drink from and then picked up and carried all around the kitchen.  I just love mopping...
We'll keep you updated on how she's doing.

Hi Farrah, Here is "Untz's" most recent photo.  He's been such a big part of my life. A lot of people say that the German Shepherds tend to suffer from separation anxiety. You know what, I'm the one suffering, not him! LOL I love his thoughtful eyes, his big satelite dish ears, his big head and muzzle that I always kiss and his so German Shepherd personality.... I just love every inch of him. I miss him even when I'm away from him just for 3 minutes. Is that bad or what? LOL People should change to say, German Shepherd owners tend to suffer from separation anxiety. Don't you think?  I'll send some more photos.

Jessica is doing great. We got a new kitten about a month ago. At first we thought Jessica was going to kill her. She did not like having a new kitten in the house. She had always gotten along with our other cats, but I kept introducing them slowly with each other. About 2 weeks later they are now best friends. The kitten sleeps with her every night, and they play nonstop whenever they are together. Just moments ago, the two of them were playing tug-of-war with Jessica's rope. She is the greatest dog.

Farrah, You should be very proud of your boy.  I was down town Detroit to drop off a form at my uncles house.  Well being as stupid as I am it was after dark and there was not a parking spot near my uncles house.  So being as stupid as anyone could possibly be I left Solo in the car (my uncle is petrified of dogs) after parking in the alley down the block.  Well no sooner did I get out of the car and take a few steps I was approached by a drunk black man.  I started back for my car and Solo.  But I only got a few steps before he grabbed my arm.  I yelled for Solo and somehow he squeezed out of the window. (I always leave it partially open for him) The man immediate let me go as Solo came barreling at him with every tooth hanging out of his mouth.  Well lets just say he found out what a good deep grip Solo has. I grabbed German Shepherd Puppy Breeder, Kaykohl Landmy cell phone and called the police and Mr. Solo kept him in one place until they got there.  The police were very impressed with him.  Once I got him to out Solo was friendly to everyone around just as if it didn't happen.  I was treated for a few minor cuts.  But the drunk ended up with about 25 stitches on his leg and arm.  If I hadn't had Solo with me God only knows what would have happened.  As for Solo he was just in need of a good bath.  The drunk was identified in a line up by another woman as the man who had raped her.  Solo truly is my hero.  He seems to think that I am helpless now though he always seems to be very worried about me. I didn't know he could stick any closer to me than he already did but he does. He seems to always be on guard and gets very nervous if we go out at night.  I have been told that that's normal and that he will relax as time goes by.  Well I better let you go.  I just thought I should let you know.  Again you raised a truly spectacular dog.

Hi Farrah, I wanted let you know Ember received her Canine Good Citizen yesterday.  We didn't practice for it at all, I heard of someone offering the test and away we went.  She is so attentive to me and has great eye contact.  I think we are going to pursue some obedience titles with her.   Our club is a conformation club, but there is another training club not too far from us.  I believe I could train her myself, but its always more fun working with others.  Of course they will be A.K.C style titles, CD and hopefully on to a CDX.   I have mostly entered our dogs in the conformation ring.  Now I will have to enter the ring myself.  At least I will save money on handler fees!

Hi Farrah:  Just wanted you to know Hogan is finishing "doggie school" this week. He is doing great!  He has had three solid weeks of training and does: Sit, wait, down, stay, leave it, right here, quiet, go to your rug etc. He works around distractions well, and walks right next to us with a leash and without. Last Saturday I walked him to our local coffee shop (where dogs are allowed inside) and a couple of the local police officers were in there. They absolutely fell in love with Hogan (both have K-9) experience and they loved how well behaved Hogan was. He does a few funny things around here like opening his own doors, but the latest that cracked me up, was his ability to get his own ice cubes. He loves ice cubes, so I guess he figured out how to get them himself from the refrigerator door. One night right in front of me he walked over jumped up and batted at the lever until a couple of cubes fell out. He took them casually over to the rug and started eating them. Jen and I could not stop laughing.  Hogan still gets to go to the lake every Saturday and has a group play date with his buddies. He seems to like the water a lot. He won't swim in it, but he like hopping around in it and barking at the ducks and geese. Hope all is well there! Talk to you soon.

Hi Farrah, (Yoker) aka Grizz is doing well.  He is exactly what we wanted.  He truly is the best looking German Shepard that I ever seen. When Grizz was a puppy, he was so darn cute with his big paws, fluffy hair and droopy ears. Kevin was a little worried. He kept saying "What is this goofy puppy going to look like? What did Farrah send us?"  Whenever we take him out for a walk somebody always asks about him and says what a good looking dog he is. His vet loves Grizz's personality and disposition. Even though Grizz is now very big and strong he is still all puppy inside. He loves to chew. His bones are kept  in a kitchen cabinet which he knows how to open and get a bone out when he wants one.  He also likes to chew on matchbox cars and plastic army men which my kids are not that happy about. But, it gets them to pick up there toys. The kids love taking a walk and playing catch with him.  We have taken Grizz for some training he caught on quickly. This spring we will take him for more intermediate classes.

Thought you might like to see some new pictures of Kaos.  He went to the vet last week and he weighs 32 pounds. The receptionists and techs wanted to make him Shore Vet's mascot. One asks me to make Kaos appointment when she is working, so she can see him. They told me not to take him to puppy classes, or shopping at pet smart until he has had all his booster shots.  He loves to go for walks and goes nuts as soon as he hears his leash being picked up. He walks good for his age. Knows how to sit, go make pee, give me the ball, anything about wanting a treat or to eat. He knows to come here, but he doesn't know stay at all. Best of all he knows how to get into all kinds of puppy trouble. Like jumping into the shower when I am in it or splashing water from his bowl onto the kitchen floor, then running and sliding in it. Digging for rocks or grabbing anything that isn't a toy of his.  Kaos rids his back yard kingdom of the evil squirrel's. He battles the vacuum monster and leaf blower dragon. Thanks again for trusting me with one of your baby's.

Max spends his days riding with Steve and visiting dry cleaners and his nights with me and Charlie and my boys. So it is all going good. I have a check up planned for him on August 7 with Dr. Duke in Snohomish. Hi, Farrah. I just wanted to let you know that Utah (Mia) is doing wonderful! She is hilarious! She is always running and bouncing around, getting into things, and trying to chew on anything and everything she can. We have given her several toys to dive into, but she always seems to find something else. When anyone tries to pet her, of course she thinks you want to play and grabs at your hand! She chases the cats around and thinks our little kitten is a chew toy that moves! Mia has grown quite a bit since we received her.  She is starting to get that spindly, leg look.  I say she is starting to look like a cross between a Giraffe and a kangaroo! She is so much fun. I am really looking forward to what the future holds for her.

Wishing you and your family a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.  Last week Isky was lazy, not eating, and laying around the house.  Jessie thought she was sick.  I had been busy at work more than usual.  I told Jessie that the dog had missed me and it was nothing to worry about.  She called the vet and made an appointment to have her looked over.  The vet said she was in perfect health.  The vet confirmed that Isky had missed me and was depressed.  Jessie and the vet had a good laugh about it.  Since I take her running and spent the most time with her Jessie now understands.  I must admit Isky is a loving, mild temperament, and wonderful dog.  Thanks again for letting us have her.

He isn't to enchanted with Mac. He likes bigger dogs so I am sure that they will become friends soon. Mac discovered the dog next door and his bark at the same time. Justice has settled in well.  She is such a good dog, especially for her young age.  She's already learned to sit - - and her heeling is coming along well.  German Shepherd Puppy Breeder, Kaykohl LandShe is near perfectly housebroken, and has only had one accident in the house - - which was when I was in the shower, and hadn't crated her to do so.  She still seems lost without me in plain view.  Justice is absolutely magnificent with Sydney.  Her play might be a little rough, but Sydney tolerates it, and they have great playtimes together.  Sydney can lie down on her, grab her foot and poke her forehead, and Justice understands it's all innocent.  Syd even tried to look down Justice's throat, and Justice had no problems just nudging away Syd's prying hands.  With Sydney, Justice is EXACTLY what I was looking for.  She is as good with "children" as you said she would be.

Hi Farrah, I am sending you 3 pics that I took of Cody doing some bite work.  They are not professional (obviously)  I could not get the super pic of him getting the sleeve ( wouldn't you just know)  I got him in the air and I got his hold and bark but I just could not click fast enough and then wouldn't you just know that I ran out of juice on my battery so I could not take anymore  but you at least have a smattering of  pics to see. I'll send more as soon as I can. You should be super proud of him! His trainer is a working dog trainer and even though Cody is a "show" dog he is very impressed with all phases of his training.  He is doing great in his tracking and his obedience and he really moves out when he gates. They think he will go to his first trial in 3 months or so. He is home now on vacation. (He hasn't changed at all he is still my Cody Bear) They want to take him to an SV show soon???

Bruno is doing great--like you said he is truly an athlete--we have started jogging together every day (usually I have always let him do the running by throwing the ball or other games) and he is never worn out. We moved into a new place and after long negotiations I finally talked my fiance Janey into letting him stay full time inside the house. We used to have a problem with him chewing up everything in sight--but he has started to get over that, and it probably helps that he gets a bone every day. German Shepherd Puppy Breeder, Kaykohl LandI have found that I am not the best picture taker, but I think I took some pretty good ones last week and I will send them to you in the mail as soon as they are developed. I also wanted to thank you for being there to answer my questions all the time when I call. We have a great walking trail right next to where we moved to, and Bruno loves to go down there and spend hours exploring. He also gets a lot of attention from our new kitten, who is fearless & loves to sneak attack. And of course the people at our vets office say Bruno is their favorite dog. We go there all the time it seems like & there is a girl dog who goes there every day with one of the workers & I think he has a crush on her... but anyways I wanted to let you know how good we are doing & thank you again for everything.

Chivas went swimming all on his own today, much to my surprise. We have a big lake next door and he and I have camped out there under an umbrella on my days off. He usually runs in the shallow water to drink and to cool down, but today he jumped after a stick that was floating and had to swim back, after that he made many trips out, he had me worried because he would stick his whole head under to pick something up from the bottom, but he was wagging his tail and running around like crazy in-between "dives". Several people stopped to watch him, and everybody said they had never seen a puppy so comfortable in the water before, I was a very proud mom :)  Thanks again for him, I'll keep the updates coming.

In the first minute he attracted no less than 20 people half were ticket agents who couldn’t resist. He just looked around at all the smiling faces and yawned a couple of times, he had no problems with the trip at all.  He is adjusting very well at home and has already built his own little home under our Coffee table where he has taken over my bath robe and is using it as a mattress, then he strategically placed pillows around the perimeter and loves to pop out and follow us around. His structure and temperament are amazing and we couldn’t be happier with him.   At first our 2 yr old Golden (Shadow) didn’t know what to make of this little creature, who came out of nowhere and started chasing him around and stealing his chew toys, I’m sure he was wondering how does this thing shut off !!!!, however, they quickly became good friends and are very comfortable with each other.  I have taken some photos and will forward then to you soon.  Thanks again Farrah for this awesome puppy, the kids and I are having a ball. Take good care and I’ll talk to you soon.

Home of Maybe von Kaykohl Land

Greetings Farah..   I will have to take some updated pictures of Maybe, she is so sweet and is a papa's girl. Doesn't want be out of her sight. I have had to leave her a couple times at our Vet's with our Golden for boarding, since we have had some travel to do recently, She weathers that OK. But in a couple weeks we will take her to the Oregon Coast. She weighs about 50 pounds, and is in a holding pattern now for growth, but she will have another spurt soon. Her tail drags the floor, just like when we first brought our Heidi girl home 9 years ago. We love her so much, she is really energetic, and our animal control officer who teaches the Obedience classes loves her greatly. She comes in and works with her when we must leave her at the doctor's office. Long and Short, I am going to have to send you Pictures. Thank you, Ken

We are doing well.  Pancho, AKA "Roadie" has become a strapping young lad and has a ton of energy.  I brought him to work w/ me today so he can hang out w/ our crew here and run around all day and tire himself out some.  He does like to chase after hockey pucks and run around on our ice floor w/ every claw out trying to get some traction.  Here's a shot of him sitting on top of a pile of shaved ice in our Zamboni pit:  He's great w/ people and likes to be into everything that you're doing.  He's also very good w/ other dogs and young kids.  And needless to say, he loves the attention he gets.  He's doing great and everyone that comes into contact with just adores him.  He's got a great personality and as I mentioned earlier, his energy level is second to none.  It quite common for us to work 12-13 hours during a hockey game day and he hangs out w/ one of my security guards riding in or running along the side of his security golf cart all day long without one nap.  When I get him home that night, he turns into a piece of goo and sleeps for 12 hours and is ready to go at it again the next day.  I'm very happy w/ him and he seems to love where he's at.  My roommate is looking to get a pure-bread Labrador in the next few days so we'll see how he does w/ a "little brother."

Hope everything is well.  Here are some new pictures of Xena (Nalla).   I wish you could see how wonderful Xena has turned out to be.  She is such a fun loving dog.  Her temperament is outstanding.  She loves going to her doggy day care to play with her furry friends.  She is very well liked there.    I take her for walks with me in an industrial park area and she loves to sniff anything and everything.  She is also very protective of me.  One day we went for a walk and their was a man who was running to his car in the parking lot towards where we were and Xena was on gaurd.  I really thought that it was wonderful.  Xena is a very good protector.  I feel very safe walking with her anywhere.  Xena now weighs in at 70 pounds.  Her heavy coat is starting to come in quite nicely.  I visit your web site periodically to see what's new.  Her siblings are so beautiful.  Take care Farrah.  Hope to hear from you soon.

Lola continues to do very well. She has bonded quite closely with our Lab & they are just about inseparable and play constantly. Lola is fearless and relentless.  We have been taking the Lab to other rooms so Lola gets one-on-one time as well.  She has bonded very strongly to me already. Everybody is taking turns "supervising" her, but my wife said that it's clear she's decided that I am her person.  We had my Mom to dinner last nite and when I left for a few minutes to drive my Mom home, my wife said Lola waited by the door I left through and cried.    When she sees me, she wags her tail vigorously and immediately comes to me for petting and affection.  She is quite good about being handled in any way and it has been easy to pill her.  She is doing better in the crate, especially when we put her to bed for the nite.  She's just a wonderful little girl-- everything I was hoping for.  Thanks for your kind offer to provide advice and answer questions as may be necessary. I'll be touch with regular updates.  Take care.

Uppity (we call her Zoey) is doing GREAT!!  The name Zoey means lively and spirit-filled, and it fits her to a T.  Not only that, but she is SO intelligent.  She knows my schedule...when it times to leave...when I come home...when it's time to go to bed...etc.

Her FAVORITE game is Frisbee.  She's actually becoming quite good at it - catching it in the air.  I was talking to her vet, and he mentioned that there is a Frisbee contest that comes around every summer, and I'm thinking about entering her in it if we can get enough practice in.  I don't have a digital camera, so I couldn't attach any pictures on to this email, but I'll try to borrow my friend's so you can see just how beautiful she is.

Hi Farrah, Thought I would take a moment to write with an update on Rouge. We call her Charlotte. She is growing up to be a wonderful companion. I could not be happier. She has one of the best temperaments I have seen.  She passed her CGC test on June 18th. We joined the German Shepherd Dog Training Club of Chicago. We have been going since Charlotte was 3 months old. Our instructor suggested that I take her to some shows and get her Obedience title. He says she is more than ready.   I am attaching a photo that was taken on her 1st birthday, July 3rd. We were camping on a friends 150 acre parcel of land. She is lying in a bed of clover. I am also attaching a copy of her AKC and CGC certificates for your files.  Again, thank you so very much for such a wonderful addition to our family.

"Arwen" is settling in well.  We are working on teaching her to respond to her name. Leash training is going well. Short walks to the mail box followed by wild, ball tossing romps in the backyard.  She does not pull; instead she stays at an almost perfect heal. Sit and down are almost there.  She does not play bite often and responds well to correction when it does happen.  She grips the tug-o-war rope with tenacity.  Her bark drowns out the lawnmower.  She has slayed the broom monster.  Her curiosity takes her into, around, and under almost everything; but she does not let us get out of sight as we walk around the yard.  While guiding her around to the back yard, she slipped past the gate and led me on a chase around the neighbor's house; stopping at the corners to look back to see if was following.  Arwen is a delightful handful.
The smoke alarm went off this evening while dinner was cooking.  Arwen perked her ears initially, but otherwise remained quite unfazed by the shrieking.  She never got up from lounging position on the sofa.  I'm impressed.  The same noise always put Gandalf into a state.  I am anxious to send photos, but just found that my digital camera has again failed.  I'll get something worked out soon though.  We are eager to have some puppy photos.  She's a wonderful creature, thank you so much.

I wanted to send you some pictures of Tasha on her Graduation Night January 17th, 2005.  Tasha had so much fun in Puppy Kindergarten.  We  played some games like tic tac dog, & musical square graduation night.  We were to teach our dogs an original trick for the graduation night.   I taught Tasha to do hand signal commands like sit, down, stand and come. She is also a natural at high 5 and low 5 and shake, like many German shepherds are.   She did so good for all the distractions in class. I was so proud of her. I wish you could have been here to see her graduate.   She did the hand signals but was to tired to do the high/low 5 or shake so I let her go lay down for a while until she got called for her certificate. She played really hard with the other puppies and got tuckered out .In kindergarten we do not keep them on a leash very long then let them play together.  Everyone was just so amazed when she did her hand signal and I did not even say a word to her. The teacher said she could tell we really worked hard. Tasha would not let me get away with being lazy and not do her hand signals...LOL I have to laugh because Tasha will come to me and do this little quiet special whine and I know what she wants. She wants her time learning and getting her treats for doing a wonderful job. She likes this good girl thing....LOL She thinks it is the best game we have played yet. I had to mix up the order of what I had her do shortly before graduation because she would do it before I even had a chance to give the signal. She knew the routine. She is just so intelligent.   The teacher said Tasha is going to be a wonderful dog .     I want to enjoy her as a puppy as long as I can because she will grow up way to fast.  When we got home from graduation she went straight to the cat bed curled up and went to sleep. Even the camera flash did not wake her up. She was just so tuckered. I just love to watch her sleep, she is just so precious. Tasha does have her own bed but prefers the one that cradles her over the bed that is flat with no sides.  Tasha is just our little delight and as you can see my baby and very precious to our family.   Our next planned class will be Basic Manners.  She still chases the cats in the house...LOL  Boy, will the cats be happy when she learns her manners. LOL  You take care and I will keep you updated on Tasha.

Rufus is doing just fine - he is growing like a weed.  I haven't taken any for a month or two, so he is bigger now - I need to get some new photos.  He is currently in his "adolescent" stage - he gets shoes, clothes, etc and chews on them or just puts them in his bed.  He is, however, one of the easiest puppies we have had - he was housebroken at about 4-5 months.  He is energetic, athletic, and intelligent, and is very responsive - just a hard look or word and he hears it.  He has an appointment next week (near his 6 month birthday) to see Greg Markellis for his "operation."  His sister, Stella, and he are inseparable.  He is learning to walk in the neighborhood on a lead and meet the other dogs, and doing well with early puppy obedience - sitting, staying and just getting the lying down thing.  We are looking forward to seeing Rufus mature and grow (and also to his growing out of adolescence).  Hope all is well at the German Shepherd ranch!

I think she knew, she pranced along like she was in the show ring or something. We do have our moments though, she is VERY strong willed, but I've enjoyed the challenge of working with her--besides, if I wanted a pushover, I would have got a Pomeranian, right?

He is fearless, outgoing, and sound, in both temperament and in structure.  My son and I walked him up and down the street before the parade where the floats and parade entries were lining up, and Moose was rushed at by countless kids along the sidewalks, visited by other dogs, and commented on by adults.  Everybody fell in love with him, and never once did he forget his manners.  Not once did he jump up on or mouth any of the tiny toddlers that approached him, and he was Mr. Gentleman.  Amazing for a pup of 4 months!  We walked right past a fire truck testing its blaring siren, past a high school marching band warming up (noise chaos! :)), and past dozens of horses and rushing go-carts.  Never once did he flinch or look wary in any way.  He is as sound and as unshakeable as they come.  Once again, your breeding practices and fabulous pedigree lines have shown us what having a sound, safe, and loving family German Shepherd companion is all about.  Thank you so much for him!  As soon as we got home, we took several pictures of him stacked, and one of him sitting.  (Yes, he's even mastered his sit-stay!  At 4 months!  He's demonstrating it here.  What a fast and willing learner he is!)  I hope one of these stacking pictures works.  It seems there is always at least *one* thing off in them--lighting, ears, stance, or something!  Sorry about that.  I hope one will work, though!  Thank you again for breeding such flawless temperaments in your dogs.  I am truly amazed at the job you do.

The Puppy is a total trip!  She is priceless!  I cannot believe how much she has grown!  The 2 big dogs (suddenly they are the big dogs and not the puppies) love her and protect her and allow her anything she wants.  I certainly don't spoil her but the "big dogs" certainly do.  We just LOVE her!  Thank you.

Hi Farrah, It has been some time...  Sage (Tyra) is just the most amazing dog.  Even more so than Cisco (LeDoux)...if you can believe that... She is so quick to learn anything.  She has overcome her shyness and loves all attention including grooming.  She can already out-run Cisco.  Her gate is unbelievable.  Although, I must say he has developed into such a strong dog.  His brute strength is quite alarming at times...even at play.  It has been a long time coming...she has made friends with the cats, and has a special friendship with one of them.  She has taken a few trips without Cisco and does not miss a beat. She functions well in a group (pack) environment or alone with equal ease.  Together, they are a force to be I would not want to meet.  here are few photo's see how they have developed.

Home of VP2-Molly von Kaykohl Land
Molly is a great southern California girl as you can see in this pic.  She loves water and spent one afternoon chasing waves recently.  I've had her in agility classes for most of the last six months and she is really good!!  Funny though, while she is good with our cats at home, when she sees the cats that hang out around the agility field she gets very excited, starts barking and lunging, and I have to really work to get her attention back on the obstacles, but once doing the course she remembers her job!!!  I take her to the barn with me a few times each month and she is great on the trail.  She still gets nervous when I'm grooming the horses and sometimes barks at them -  I don't know if she thinks she is protecting me or simply just doesn't trust an animal of that size, but she usually only barks when I am working on the horse, not when they are standing on their own.  She is always quite insistent that she should go with me everywhere.  The other day she decided she was going with me, forced her way out the door with me, and absolutely dug in her feet when I tried to drag her back to the yard - I was just going for coffee so I let her come with me, but she is funny about that.  It is not like she would be alone atg home as we have two other dogs who she loves, but she definitely thinks she is the one who should be my constant companion!!!
Are all of your dogs such avid kissers?  We fondly refer to her kissing attacks as "tongue violations" as she starts kissing and doesn't stop until there is a good half inch of saliva on very square millimeter of your face - all the time wagging her tail at high velocity!!!  We love her and will definitely come back to you when we are ready for our next shepherd!!

Home of Matador von Kaykohl Land
Dear Farrah,  Matador is doing well.  He has not had an accident in the house.  He sleeps all night and slept one night with my grandson.  They both enjoyed it I think.  My grandson Jonathan is seven and Matador and he get along the best.  Not that he doesn't get along with all my grandchildren, but he and Jonathan are pals where  the other children are not as interested.  He has no problem sharing his food or taking theirs if he gets a chance.  He shared a freeze pop with one the other night.  He was in the fenced yard the other evening  alone and the neighbor was staring at him he continued to bark at him until Vinnie brought him in.  He did not seem to care for him, (neither do we) and has not acted like that with anyone else.  Funny how they know at such a young age.  He goes to the bathroom out back in the woods and loves the birds, butterflies, and squirrels.  They  amuse him.  He is great in the car.  He is a wonderful puppy and we love him.  He is also beautiful. Rest easy that he is being spoiled in a good way and we will try our best to help him grow into a very respectable dog.  We are so proud of all the compliments we are getting about him but at this point they really belong to you.  We are very happy we chose one of your puppies.

Farrah - I just thought I'd check in to let you know Monte (Remus) seems to like his new home in Alaska - once he finally made it here! He did very well on the road trip - we have decided he is going to be a traveling dog! We have been home almost a week now and he is settling into a routine. We took him to our Vets on Tuesday - everyone oogled and awed over him. He really is a handsome dog! Our cat Yoda still can't decide if he likes this creature that can follow him everywhere. Monte's new game is to pull Yoda's tail - Yoda does not like that! Monte took his first airplane ride with Al on Saturday. He did very well - just assumed it was a different kind of car. They landed on a beach which provided all sorts of new smells and items to go in his mouth!  We have photos to send you one I get them off the camera. Just wanted to Thank You and let you know all was going well.  We will be in touch.

Dear Farrah, she arrived late but in one piece. I was anxious that she would not potty for us until the next morning after breakfast, and then she went on our chosen spot with no problem. What a relief! (no pun intended).  We have had lots of snow, too, which we think she brought with her. I guess she missed Montana. :) We have named her Kula Montana. It is a coincidence or a sign of fate that I chose the name Kula, similar to Ulla. She knows her name and comes and follows very well.  We are in love with her. She is so alert, happy and adventurous.  Very much aware she has teeth but getting used to our leash lessons and seeing how much of our property she can explore each outing. She loves going to the cats' toy box to choose her new favorite toy. They are all out on the floor at this writing.  Thank you for her. The timing was perfect. We are so glad she is a part of our family.

Hello Farrah, Sammy (Libra Von Kaykohl Land) is doing really great! We have been attending regular classes in obedience and personal protection since the first of Sept. and Sammy is catching on faster than I am. She is fun to work with and she and I are great friends. She was a bit sluggish yesterday and I am pretty sure she is going into heat as I found a small bit of blood on the carpet this morning.  I am attaching a few photo's. One is of the dog "mansion" I built for her.  It has heat, insulated windows, skylight, electricity, exhaust fan, is fully insulated, hardwood floor, brick tile for 3' to help keep it clean and textured walls and ceiling the rest of the way up, a man door and doggie door so she can come and go as she pleases. On the outside is her own deck and porch light. I have actually had people wanting to rent the house!!!  The second picture is of Sammy in her house.  Have a great Christmas & a Happy New Year.

Hi Farrah, Elyssa is now 5 year's old (11/10/2000) and  I'd run out of words to describe what a fantastic girl she is - looks, personality & temperament, she has it all.   Her coat is now a beautiful/flashy deep red with black saddle and markings, with a lighter cream color in her haunches ("butt feathers").  Everywhere I take Lys, people comment on how gorgeous she is (and she is) and how calm and well behaved and I tell them where I got her and how I'd recommend Kaykohl to anyone interested in a wonderful GSD.  Her  personality and temperament are phenomenal - she's sweet and loving to me and other family members, bossy (but not mean) to any foster dogs from the rescue group, polite or indifferent to strangers and she has supreme self-confidence.  She's silly, smart, alert, and curious - can you tell how pleased I am with her?  This past weekend I took her to be evaluated for sheep herding and we had so much fun that we'll start taking classes in January.  I've included a couple pictures of Lys and the trainer so you can see that Lys is doing well.   She truly is my perfect dog.   I often browse your website to see what you have available.  When I'm ready for a nice male, I'll be contacting you in the hopes that you may have a nice long-haired puppy or youngster that would like to live in Texas.  I know you don't breed for coat but lightening did strike at least once, with Miss Lys.  Take care and thanks again for my girl.

Farrah,  I hope you are doing o.k. and not missing Flury to much.  What a doll she is.  She fits into the family perfectly and loves all the kids, as well as vice-versa.  From the moment  I picked her up from the airport everyone was in love.  She is eager to please and poses such a radiant look to her.  We couldn’t be more pleased.      Although Logo and Palme were not from your own breeding program your expertise  in helping me find them was right on.  They are extremely loyal, full of life and great protectors of their home.  Every night they make their rounds checking on the kids, from bedroom to bedroom then to the living room floor, it is fantastic.  Clearly, you have superb knowledge with german shepherds.  I could never thank you enough for your kindness and all your help.  Also,  your honesty and genuine concern to help was above and beyond what anyone has to do.   Today, you don’t find a lot of people willing to take their time and help someone else, yet you did without a blink of any eye.  I could  never repay you for all the happiness you have helped create and bring into our home.  Our home would not be the same without all of our wonderful additions, thanks to you!!  I will keep you posted on how everyone is and new pictures…..  Many Thanks.

Just a not to let you know how pleased we are with Xendie.  She is such a lovable dog and fitting in well with the other dogs and now horse, but the cat we are working on.  She is doing well with the socialization  and house breaking and our trainer has us for the next two weeks doing  what he calls pack training (letting her now her place in the house hold and how to walk on a leash).  She only seems to need to be shown just once and then she has it until a major distraction  but get right back on track .  She is magnificent  at least in my eyes,  but the trainer did say he has not seen a Shepherd of her quality around here in a long time and he is sooooooooo  looking forward to working with her (he has actually told a friend of mine that her standard poodle was of terrible breeding )  so i know he is not just saying it.  He also in his younger day, did train his own Shepherds in Schutzhund  style,  but seems to make more money correcting rich peoples unruly dogs behavior problems,  so he is looking forward to working with her.  He did also said that she has the natural tracking in her  she puts her nose to the ground all around the fence as soon a you let her out.  I will send pics as soon a I develop them.  Thanks Farrah for  your dedication to your breeding of shepherds.

Here are two pictures of Fiona.  One with Chase and one hanging her feet in the spa.  It is hard to believe Fiona is already 10 months old.  She is so great!  We are working with her on obedience and she is such a quick learner.  We take long walks each morning and she just loves to visit with everyone.  She is an outstanding watch dog and is able to turn her excitement on and off with minimal correction.  I am hoping to do some bite work and agility when the weather cools here.  My schedule to do so fell behind when I had to have surgery.  Fiona and my husband looked after me for 6 weeks.  Fiona slept by me and never jumped or asked me to play.  She was extremely in tune with what was going on.  Fiona has a great love for the water and enjoys a spa tub soak after her swim at the beach.  We are already talking about the next shepard that we will purchase from you.  Thank you for allowing us to have Fiona in our family.  She has added such joy and laughter. Farrah, It's been crazy busy here but we wanted to send you pictures of Brandi from the past couple of months. She is amazing and has quite the "perky"
personality. She went through training in January and finished at the top of her class. The trainer said she had never seen such a smart dog. She picked
up all her "tricks" on the first or second try. She loves to "high 5" for a treat to the amusement of all the kids in our neighborhood. She even has a
friend next door name Smokey who is a 8 month old German Shepherd. They LOVE to play. It is so funny watching them play hide-n-seek when they are not
really hiding. We had a birthday party for her on June 15th, her first birthday. We invited all her friends, Luther (Springer spaniel), Dino
(chow/lab mix) Smokey and of course all the neighborhood kids. We had doggie birthday cake that my daughter helped me make. She loved it! Thanks so much

Farrah, Thank you so much.  His temperament is better than I could have ever imagined.  Every outing he impresses me more and more.  This last time a guy had 10 off leash dogs walking in a pack (a Cesar Milan type…obviously) …Mayfield just mingled with the other dogs as they walked past us.  Once at the watering hole where the dogs swim, he just mingled with all the dogs again.  The guy with all those dogs took a liking to him, kept petting him and saying what a nice dog he was.  OK...clearly I could talk all day about Mayfield.  So I’ll stop now.  J  Here’s one more picture of the entire family.  Alex (my husband) AJ, Max (in stroller), me (such a flatter photo) and Mayfield.

I hope this finds you well.  We are loving our dog!  We have named him Klink (after Commandant Klink of Hogan's Heros) and he has adjusted nicely.  I am attaching photos, please let me know if you are not able to see them.  The first photo is with our oldest and was in April, the second in December, the third was in November.  He is big - he currently weighs about 65-70 lbs and I've been extremely careful not to over feed him; the vet said he is very healthy.  He will be 8 months old on June 6th.  He is at a professional trainers at present, we will be getting him back in the next couple of weeks.  The majority of dogs in this part of the country are labs, it is easy to find a trainers if you have a hunting dog.  I wanted someone that has a good bit of experience with German Shephards and I found one not too far from us.  He does all of the training for the K-9 dogs with the local and state-wide police deparments and while I don't need him to sniff for drugs, I felt very comfortable that he can help us fine tune what we have tried to teach Klink.  I look forward to being able to talk him walking with me in the mornings.  I really can't say enough about Klink and how happy we all are.  Thank you for taking the time when I first contacted you as well as all those questions I had at the beginning.  He fits in so well with our family and we are looking forward to many happy years together!  I hope you are all well there, I'm sure you are continuing to make a lot of families very happy!

Home of Harrah von Kaykohl Land

I just wanted to give you a brief update on our girl "Faith". As you know she turned 4 moths old last week, has had all of her puppy shots and is a "tremendous animal". Her infancy stage was full of exploration, socialization, nurturing, boundaries and a lot of love. Faith and our older mixed breed Zoie have become best of friends, (as I suspected they would) and Faith is now maturing a bit into the "little girl with the curl".  I have taken training slow and allowed her to be a "pup" for the most part. In the areas we have work on she is strong. Strong suits are: Sit, lay-down, heal on leash, house broken 80% (she tries real hard but has an occasional accident) Good performance areas are: Come, stay, heal off leash. All in all she will work hard to please and is not at all shy.  Her weight is 32 lbs, but skinny as a rail because she is growing so tall and long. She's great at physical exams, loves to be brushed (though she would rather eat the brush) loves to have her gums massaged and teeth brushed, fine at ear exam and cleaning. She sleeps comfortably through the night in her crate next to me in bed. She finds comfort during the day in the crate as well. We are "slowly" learning to swim. She will jump out of the inflatable boat when she wants and has not yet learned "exactly" where the steps are so she is not allowed unattended by the pool. She loves to dig and I have given her permission in ONE spot in the yard, that she is becoming OK with. Loves to fetch and mostly will "let go". She is still sleep, play, sleep, eat, sleep play mode with a lot of SLEEP!!!  Long and short here: Faith is intelligent, faithful, strong of heart and body and we could not be more please to have her as another family member!!! She is happy, health and very loved!!!

Just wanted to send a letter saying Nixon (Gosh) is growing up wonderfully.  He's at 65 pounds now, and won't stop growing.  He gets about 3-4 hours of play time a day and seems pretty content with that.  I wanted to write & say hello, and that the puppy you bred is doing very well.  I'll attach a couple of pictures so you can see him.

I attached recent pictures of Him so you can see how beautiful he is. He has a way of turning heads. We don't have too many long coats here in Central Oregon and I have been asked about breeding him twice already. He is perfect And has a lot of attitude. You choose the right pup for us. Hope all is well with you and yours

Home of Izzo von Kaykohl Land

Like I promised, Some pics of Izzo. He is doing excellent. Izzo is very intelligent, he was potty trained the first week (except for a few occasional accidents that still happen). I started him with "sit" before I served him his food, of which he picked up on right away, then moved him onto "sit, stay", then "fetch", again it took only a few sessions and he had it. His demeanor is calm yet he is extremely alert and not afraid of anything.  We took him camping a few weeks ago, and the nature environment is where he is happiest, he would lay in the dirt with his head up high, and just watch the squirrels, birds, deer, and bugs. I took him to the lake to teach him to swim, thinking he would need some coaching or time to figure it out, but he walked out into the water and when it got too deep he swam, no learning curve he just started paddling.  April and I could not be happier with Izzo, although at times I still miss having the intensity and the strong traits of our female, Izzo has his own different trademarks that April and I really like about him.  Thanks again for the great puppy, and we'll send some more pics as he grows.

Home of  Jimmi von Kaykohl Land

Dear Farrah - I will get some pictures of Jimmi to you, however, wanted to give you an update quickly.  As I sit here typing, he is laying at my feet.  He is doing wonderfully and as you said he is truly a wonderful puppy.  He is so photogenic -- we have taken wonderful pictures.  His kindness is so great (Tom gets constant kisses from him) and all this weekend he has played endlessly with my brother's dog, 2 year old Golden Retriever, Dillan.  They are both napping now, tired from playing.  We have the right chew toys handy.  Today, we are going shopping for a larger crate, like Dillan's - he went right into his to relax.  We are so happy with Jimmi.  He does make it known that Tom and I are "his" - a few barks let Dillan know this.

We hope that your soccer games were full of fun -- we thought about you all this weekend.
PS - we think that Jimmi is still getting used to our heat.  We were up over 90 yesterday.  He loves walking on the beach, but we keep those walks short as he is still so young (we read your book front to back).  If he does not want to walk anymore, he lets us know by just siting down.   Thanks, again for all your support.  It truly has been wonderful, working with a professional like yourself.

Home of Jerzy von Kaykohl Land

Just wanted to touch base with you.  Jerzy had a great first night.  It is love at first sight.  My kids can't believe he is actually here.  They thought he just existed in pictures.  I intend to e-mail you with questions and updates regarding Jerzy's progress.  I know that I have thanked you already, but I want to do it one more time.  No doubt Jerzy is going to be a significant part of our lives and you have played a part in making that happen.

Home of  von Loni Kaykohl Land

Farrah:  Loni is doing great!  She is such a great puppy.  She loves her crate now at night.  She's had only 2 accidents , and one was my fault.  She waits for my kids all day in front of the laundry room door.  I don't even want to leave the house, I took her with me this morning for coffee.
Again thanks for bringing the joy that Loni brings to all of us.
We ABSOLUTELY love her!

Home of Disney von Kaykohl Land

Disney is really a beautiful example of the breed and everywhere we go people marvel at her. Just this afternoon as we were out for a walk, a man actually pulled his car over on the side of the road to see where we got her!  Boston is experiencing a fabulous stretch of weather (today was 70 degrees!) and we have been able to spend lots of time outdoors this past month.  She is really the star of our dog park and has many playmates!  I'll attach a few recent pics of her.  Thanks for all your help!
